First of all I'm new to this whole blogging thing and it's going to take me awhile to get used to things; that said, allow me to introduce my blog and my reasons behind it:
I’m always, I mean ALWAYS listening to some music I haven’t discovered before. (Yes, I do go back and listen to my discoveries again every once in awhile & there is of course my usual favorites just like everybody has) I just feel there’s so much more out there just waiting to reach my ears; so I don’t stick with one thing. And there’s where I came up with the idea to keep a diary of music I’m digging each day.
So basically- I already have a channel on Youtube where I upload whatever music I feel like putting up. Then a little while ago in the middle of September I got the idea to start a music diary! Being busy with classes and all I haven't had the time to put my plan into action. I've decided to try to make it work today.
The reason I'm writing this all out on a blog site instead of youtube, is because who reads this much on youtube?? Also, I think it'd be good to start it here.
If you actually read all of this post- way to go!
My Eclectic Music Youtube Diary

The idea is to:
- upload at least one song everyday that I feel I'm vibing with.
- along with each song I upload, I'll add a diary entry of something like- why I chose the song or whatnot, or my feelings associated with the song.
- My diary name is EMYD(eclectic Music Youtube Diary) pronounced: eh-mid.
- to be able to look back and see what music I liked/listened to or vibed with.
- & eventually I plan on adding some of my own original music too; so I also want to be able to look back on that as well.
Music
Range:
- umm- EVERYTHING? -From Ranchero music to ocean sounds…We shall see..
The
way I tend to listen to music and find what I’m feeling, is to just listen to
music randomly, and that way I end up finding new things I like, or something
that I can relate to.
Sometimes
even if lyrics of a song don’t really relate to what I’m going through or
feeling- the music and the harmony of it all evolves into words that only the
soul understands- and that is what vibing with a song is.
And now.. some ranting or- whatever?
For my Youtube channel subscribers:
I
don’t believe in segregation of music by genre. So spread the word- Don’t be a musicist!! Different styles, musicians,
and singers can sometimes each have the same vibe going on as the other in their
songs. It’s like with people- so many different races and colors, but on the
inside- we’ all have things in common. Point is- there may be two totally
different musicians/ artists with two totally unalike styles of music; but both
hit on the same subject, or make similar feelings rise up in you when you hear
a particular song of theirs. There’s always music you don’t like even if it’s
from a genre you love. It’s because music is a communicator. You may not always
like what is speaks to you- normally you'll just like what vibes with you. That’s
why people listen to different types of music in different moods- it speaks
what they’re vibing with at that moment. Therefore- There’s no point in only
listening to the same genre/style.
Not
going to lie though- I do have genres I prefer listening to more than others. I
must admit that I’ll rarely listen to music that is popular on radios- like new
pop or rap music. Nothing against the music- I just feel a lot of popular music
nowadays is generic. Then again, that doesn't mean I won’t listen to any of it.
There are always songs that are made an exception. It all goes back to what
vibes with me at certain moments.
I’m
not saying this is how it all is- I’m just writing out my thoughts on the
subject. Nobody is right, and nobody is wrong in what their opinions of music
are, because since music is a communicator; words can always take different
meanings to different people, which therefore concludes in the vast variety of
views on music.
Don’t
like my views on things, or videos? Safe travels then my friend. ^_^ /
Always
listening,
Ximri
P.S.- Ximri is not my real name,
it’s my stage/band name- and so you can’t steal it!! ..Please?
